Language-wise, I think we could draw a clearer distinction if we go with
"Add contact" as the button text on the medialist page. It opens the Find or create modal
"Create new contact" as the button text for opening the modal that then requires you to fill out all their details. I'd assume for the most part users will be "adding" existing contacts to medialists, while "creating a contact" is something that will happen on occasion.
