SNES9x uses a custom license for distribution, and many of the contributive
devs have NOT consented to a license change.

I'm trying so very, very hard to care right now, but I just can't do it. Sorry.

to change the license of the original program is generally a violation thus can
lead to prosecution, I suggest change it back to the original license.

Then you'd like your arse sued into the floor then i take it?

The code belongs to all previous contributors to the snes9x code base, and you
have no right to claim ownership to it and change its license type.

You're no different to a code thief in this sense.

misapplication of an invalid license is already seeing the emulator distributed
for sale on some platforms, at the chagrin of the base code developers.
