Open HammerGS opened 3 years ago

HammerGS commented 3 years ago

From Discord:

There is a group of players that is playing a Society based game. They are finding the command line for NOVA has issues.

Apparently the Nova CEWS linkage does not save going from the setup screen to the deployment phase. He had to redo the command once we were in game, and then it took another round or 2 before the link-lines showed up.

They've (and other players over the years) have asked if we could get an in game UI for Nova.

Environment

What version of MegaMek does your issue apply to? 0.48.0 What operating system are you using? Windows,

The missing C3/C3I link lines is something I've noted for some time, back to at least the early 0.4x releases. Although the lines were not shown for the first few turns they were still functioning. It might be related to units being deployed on a later turn, regardless if they had a C3 link or not.

This seems like a thread to add to since its partially related. (MM49.15)

When you form a nova network in the lobby (Even if it doesn't work once you get in game) The BV of networked units is not being adjusted. (Which gets weirder since the BV adjustment for nova CEWS focuses more on how many Nova systems are in the force, and it will just assume they'll form networks sooner or later down the line.)
