MegaMek is a networked Java clone of BattleTech, a turn-based sci-fi boardgame for 2+ players. Fight using giant robots, tanks, and/or infantry on a hex-based map.
Attempting to do so will result in an error message reading "Warning! Invalid unit, it might load incorrectly!
While parsing (Protomech name here).blk, Could not determine number of shots in: Clan Ammo Protomech (SRM/LRM - Tube count) (ammo type).
Opening Megamek itself will result in the same warning message and you will not be allowed to load the resulting protomech as a unit for use.
Worth noting is that any standard ammo added in megamek lab will be assigned to one lump sum regardless of how much you put in; preventing you from loading several groupings of standard ammo to be replaced with specialist in megamek as is done with the hippogriff.
It is additionally worth noting that the same bug does not occur with autocannons; you are able to load individual rounds of whatever ammo type you please with no issue.
