Squadron fighters being destroyed before damage is reported about their squadron 0.49.9 #3890

Squadron fighter destruction is reported at the beginning of the weapon attack phase. Would it make more sense to report fighter destruction as the squadron takes damage or at the end of the weapon attack phase? Referenced report below:
