Ahab AHB-X missing rear-mounted medium lasers 0.49.9 #3903

I was just modifying an Ahab AHB-X in MML and noticed that it was 2 tons underweight. It's 2 tons underweight because it's missing its rear-mounted medium lasers.

HammerGS commented 2 years ago

The problem is we have to build of the RS, the RS doesn't have them. The TRO entry doesn't list them and Sarna has a cites the old TRO 2750. I've had it underweight with an [unresolved errata ](url)

If you have a current canon reference to the 2 laser please let me know.

I've got nothing then. I was just going off Sarna not owning the actual record sheets or TROs this variant was featured in. Looks like it's going to be awhile before any of that errata gets resolved!

I'll attach the file anyways, but skimming through what I have (and at a loss for uploading copyrighted material), they may no longer be there after all.

AeroTech 2 - 18 HS, absent of NARC + related ammo, 3 medium lasers added to nose (AHB-443 for all else, 2 aft medium lasers listed for both). As an aside, this also lists the Ahabs with 94 front armour, I assume this is a typo.

TRO 3050U (~2007 by ©) - 443 sheet given, prototype variant listed by text ("The prototype version of the Ahab did not mount a NARC system but instead had three additional medium lasers mounted alongside the Thunderbolt [Large Laser] system in the nose.") with no other changes mentioned.

RS 3050UU (~2011 by ©) - Sheets for 443, 643, MD, X. X is as-built in current MegaMek, three medium lasers in nose, zero in aft, 18 HS.

For lack of an updated reprint, I have no idea where else this may appear, if someone knows I can see if I have it to check.

.txt extension added because GitHub. Ahab AHB-X.blk.txt

This matches my research. Lots of these unit things that come I’ve caught and asked about over the years. If it’s something in the canon folders it’s good to ask before putting it tons of work.
