Unless something has changed, the devs are not currently adding any unofficial rules to MegaMek.
The "secondary effects" of nukes are generally the entire point, both in BattleTech and in real life. And collateral damage is one of the main reasons they aren't militarily useful in most cases.
Also, the Black Watch was destroyed by nukes going off. That is literally what happened.
I would like a checkbox to turn off the secondary effects of nuclear weapons. Mostly so I can use Davy Crockett rounds without their 20 hex secondary effect radius just wrecking everything. Or alternatively, so that you could actually play a last stand of the black watch scenario without the black watch being auto destroyed after 2 or 3 nukes going off nearby even while none of the mechs take damage. In any case, wishful thinking. Toss it in the bottom of the pile unless it catches someone's eye.
