(Unofficial) Kinder Ammo Explosions #469

This was brought up on the megamek.info forums but, my suggestion is more realistic. For mechs like the Dervish and Wolverine who store ammo in their arms (why would you do this?) once that arm is destroyed you get an ammo crit and destroys the whole unit. Unofficially/real-world it would make more sense to only destroy the arm from an ammo explosion inside the arm or leg(why in the legs?). Maybe have it do the adjacent hex damage to that side torso as well but, if thats too complex then scratch that part.

My take on it is that you could apply the full ammo damage to the arm where the explosion originates, and then (since the blast is spherical) halve any remaining damage and apply it equally to the armour of the torso and leg on that side. This can still be devastating, but survivable for most mechs. For a leg explosion the damage would be divided among the other leg and three torso locations.

I might suggest a better way to approach this would be an unofficial option to allow IS mechs to mount CASE in the arms and legs...
