MegaMek is a networked Java clone of BattleTech, a turn-based sci-fi boardgame for 2+ players. Fight using giant robots, tanks, and/or infantry on a hex-based map.
Spotters with gunnery skills under 4 allow for the accurate adjustment of artillery fire from first to second shot. In tacops advanced rules pg 150 they shoot a shell on turn 1 with a 3 turn delay, and a spotter. The shell lands on turn 4, the spotter then gives the shell shot on turn 4 the spotter bonus and thus says "the first shell to receive the benefit (spotter benefit) will arrive on turn 7" implying that the first shell shot did not get a spotter bonus, but the second one did.
Issue: Megamek 49.17 is giving a spotter bonus on the first shot when a 0 gunnery spotter mist lynx is spotting for a Naga shooting indirect arrow IV artillery. This bonus should not be given until the second shot, if there is a second shot.
Rules: TacOps pg 149 a modifier, as shown on the Artillery Modifiers Table, can be added to any new attack.
I believe it should not be added to the attack that is observed, but the next one.
