Small support vehicles have to allocate weight for all crew seating.
To clarify, by the construction rules of Robotic/Drone system(except for Caspar/Caspar II), they are still required to put the same weight and slots for the life-support systems and crew quarters as manned vehicles does.
Therefore it is not possible to take 'no seat' on the support vehicle, for it requires the same mass for the system and you need to calculate how heavy the seats are.
Seats are not the same as quarters. The only units that require quarters are aerospace units, and the reason given is that the life support systems needed for maintenance crews are part of the quarters. Vehicle seats do not include any life support systems.
That makes sense.
Support vehicles with robotic control systems shouldn't be required to have seats.
