We have sticks. We have rope. We have so man other roped stuff. We should have roped sticks. Think: FD's tomatoes growing up on roped sticks.

oh god that sounds terrible to do, those roped tomatoes i adde already are a hack since they contain 2 blocks, and roped fences and walls and similar are a hack even more as they actually contain and mimic 2 blocks inside. this one would contain 3 💀

Understand. How about reducing to a 2 block concept only. Applying rope works only to single, horizontal sticks?
