ropes.... really? #966

Are we for real right now? So an update was pushed, to re-enable ropes, which the config use to disable, because you want people to disable them another way or use your ropes instead? Why should i use a datapack for a config option that use to disable the ropes. I don't need a million different kinds of ropes in the game.

Listen, I'm not trying to be an ass here, but why remove that option, which worked before? It just doesn't make sense to me.

well because as the comment says i saw many people turning shit off not because it was bad but just because it was easy to do so. My ropes popose is to do all thatother ropes can do so if the having the config leads to that it means that the config itself is a flaw so i removed it. I left it there as a reminder that "yes you can disable any block with datpack, not just supplementaries ones" And sure it is removing a small feature but this kind of thing happens with mods all the time, new feature get added and some might get removed. In this case you can view it as I "simply didnt like it" so i removed it like, say, I removed tinted jars before. Thing is having many configs (and feature toggles especially) is not the norm for most mods so supplementaries has always been way ahead in this regard.

That's fair. It's your mod, you can do as you please. Personally, all the config options is something I really like in your mod. I'll figure out how to do what I need, and I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
