Might take a look at rebinding. This is not something I ever thought about haha, but it looks possible.
Yeah company cruiser needs adjustment, but it's pretty hard to do so idk when I'll manage to make it better. It's a fully physics enabled vehicle so it's pretty hard to tweak haha.
Note that shrinking an enemy to oblivion leads to unforseen events. It's already pretty balanced. Most monsters have a unique behavior and the monsters that don't have a custom event spawn twice elsewhere in the dungeon when they are shrank to oblivion. Which leads to double trouble!
Your ideas are good though, interesting!
Potions are intended to be "pvp safe" so I don't think we'll make it possible to throw them
Ok, thank you.
Will it be possible to add key binds for shrinking/enlarging actions with the shrink ray?
Also, shrinking the company cruiser makes it very difficult to turn, and jumping or accelerating launches the player into the air. Shrinking too small won't even register the wheels contacting the ground. Perhaps the cruiser can lose speed and gain handling to easily maneuver around the inside of the facility with significantly less health?
Another suggestion for balancing the ray gun's overpowered abilities could be reducing movement speed for players, so others could make their retreat, and make the beam unstable similar to the zap gun, with stronger enemies interfering with accuracy of the beam. Adding a wind-up time while the player slows down could give a window of escape, after which the affected entity would also be affected by the reduced movement speed.
Making indoor monsters smaller could possibly make them simply retreat in a frenzy, possibly back to an open monster spawner, and return back to their default size after a set amount of time, instead of shrinking them into oblivion. While small, stomping them flat to defeat them or picking them up would be fun. Damage received from tiny enemies could be nullified, like a Nutcracker's shotgun being as effective as a toy replica. When a shrunken monster fails to return to their spawner, they could be sold at the company building, so long as they don't escape upon landing on the next moon.
Finally, the light and heavy potions are fun, but would it be possible to throw them to apply to other crew members? Or enemies to reduce their speed and damage.
Thank you again for this awesome mod, and I look forward to its development!
