When adding many columns, we should have a option to scroll scroll horizontally, I suggest it as a scroll column, everything added to its right is in the scroll view, the left part stay fixed

Numbers would end up with both horizontal and vertical scrollbars. That is not user friendly design.

You have the option to use (custom) presets. They are far more powerful and practical.
