@stephane-klein https://gitlab.com/singer-io/tap-gitlab is the original and is also offered on the StitchData platform: https://www.stitchdata.com/docs/integrations/saas/gitlab. We (the Meltano team at GitLab) forked it since the Singer team has historically been slow to review and accept improvements to the repos they manage.
If you intend to use tap-gitlab with StitchData, https://github.com/singer-io/tap-gitlab is your only option. If you're planning to use Meltano or another Singer runner instead, https://gitlab.com/meltano/tap-gitlab is your best bet, since it has some additional functionality, and since we are more responsive to issues and merge requests.
Do you think it would be useful to state that explicitly in the readme?

should I use https://github.com/singer-io/tap-gitlab or https://gitlab.com/meltano/tap-gitlab ?
If I look commit history, I think that https://gitlab.com/meltano/tap-gitlab is more up to date that https://github.com/singer-io/tap-gitlab
Suggestion:
