Describe the bug The Google Assistant does not work when a VPN is active on the system.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Enable a VPN on the system (I use Private Internet Access)
  2. Query the assistant with any command

Expected behaviour Assistant is expected to respond as normal, as though the VPN is not active.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

Additional context PIA supports a 'split tunnel' feature, which should allow certain programs through the VPN. However, when this is enabled for the Assistant exe, the program is unable to resolve DNS.

That makes no difference. the client still does not work over VPN. I still get the DNS resolution failure.

Oh ok. Thank you for reporting, I'm gonna try to reproduce this issue and give it a return.

I don't know if the issue is related to the VPN software, but I used the Hotspot VPN, and Google-Assistant still working
