Can't Set Reminders #434

Open ghost opened 3 years ago

ghost commented 3 years ago

When I ask it to set a reminder, it just says this

"Sure. To help you create reminders, I need your permission to allow personal results on this device. You can change this in Assistant settings."

I can't find the setting in app. I need help...

Same here

@Seven-Weeb and @cybrpimp. Sorry, but this is a limitation of the Google Assistant SDK that personal results cannot come. Nothing can be done from the app's end for this. You need to realize that this app is a unofficial client so every feature cannot be implemented. This used to work but due to a server-side change no longer does. Sorry :(

@SevenNotFound @cybrpimp ^ This worked!!

@sumeshir26 Maybe worth adding to the guide?

Wow! All it needed was a toggle? @Melvin-Abraham why not add this to the FAQ and link the comment too?

Making a step-by-step instruction guide for this.

Step 1. Go to your Actions Console and open the project of GAUDC. Step 2. Open the Develop section and hit the hamburger menu button. Step 3. Open the Account Linking section. Step 4. Activate Account Linking by toggling that on, hit yes for Account Creation and choose Google Sign In in Linking Type. Step 5. Ask GAUDC your name. Step 6. Get your phone 📱 Step 7. Open the notification and put a name to the "device", any name like Google Assistant. Then, allow Personal Results and then switch to the computer. Step 8. Ask your name again. It will tell your nickname successfully.
