Bug: Ok Google responds to system audio but not microphone #472

Describe the bug I built the entire program with NPM and activated the toggle but Ok Google doesn't respond to my audio. It responded to system audio though. Once, I was in a meeting when the audio went down, and GAUDC popped out of nowhere.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on toggle for Ok GOogle
  3. Go to home screen
  4. No response to Ok google

Expected behavior It is supposed to work like, when the mic input and only the mic input is recieved as Ok Google, GAUDC has to pop up.

It happens to me as well... 🙃

The issue is external, since, this is implemented by bumblebee-hotword library which in turn uses Picovoice Porcupine...

Well, it started working, like yesterday. But it worked once or twice, not all the time.

Let this issue be open and when a fix is delivered, link the PR to this issue. Then, it will be easy to know if this is fixed.

A better wakeword response could be expected in the next major version 2.0.0 (as per my testing with newer electron version)

Hello,

Came here from #637 . Dunno if it can be of any help, but, it looks like the issue disappears as long as you keep assistant minimized, while if it's in the system tray it just doesn't work.

Platform is win, x64
