We should be able to configure the directory labels, or at least have the
option to show no label. In GNOME, adding a menu to the panel gives you an
icon with no text; this applet would fit in better if it could do the same.

1. The labels are configurable and have been for a long time.
2. If you don't want text, make the label a space.
3. Dups bug #29
