Panel text color #65

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set Gnome Panel to black (or any dark color)
2. GTK window text color must be similarly dark
3. Add the file-browser-applet to the panel

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Text is unreadable (black text on black background) since the color is
apparently taken from the window text color instead of the panel text
color. To make the applet text viewable I have to change the window text
color but this color is being applied to all gtk applications.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.6.4 on Ubuntu Jaunty

Added screenshot.

Have also tried to change color from the Gnome Color Chooser but applet text
color
does not respond to any setting changed there.

Yeah... and the gnome menu bar has the same problem... Unfortunately it'd be
kind of
a hack to add this functionality and would probably also not be HIG compliant
(as you
could potentially have a number of apps with different text colours).

All I can suggest for now is to use a dark theme (like the new Dust in Ubuntu).
