Proof of Concept for external dashboard

Several discussions about improvements and enhancements for upcoming seasons have revolved around a more powerful and extensible dashboard to replace Shuffleboard.

@meowmeowahr developed a GUI application.

There are others that could also provide inspiration or may prove to be a suitable platform to extend from.

• FRC Web Components
• FRCDashboard

We should investigate these solutions, test them out individually, and evaluate their usefulness. One way to do that would be to perform the same set of tests with each and document their strengths and weaknesses.

• Can it show an auton routine selection widget
• Can it display an odometry/localization map
• Can it display the limelight camera feed
• Can we build a custom widget for something like controller mapping or auto-aim targeting

I have taken a look at Elastic and it seems very similar to Shuffleboard.

It can do everything that Shuffleboard can do and is fully compatible with it, but with an improved UI and robot alert popups. It does not have a plugin API so it would not be possible to make any custom widgets without modifying the source code.
