Too Many Speleothems and Not Enough Bigger Caves #64
There are too many Stalactites and Stalagmites in the caves for how small the caves can get. I think if you're going to have that many I would recommend making the caves bigger. Now, this doesn't mean you should build mega caves everywhere, I would just increase the size of caves by a few blocks or so. I would take some tips from other mods when designing cave generation. For example, Quark and YUNG's mods. You could also take ideas from caves in the real world. Also, would like to see custom dungeons underground that work like Twight Forest's dungeons or other dungeon mods that add more depth to dungeons or to the game in general. For example, you could add a boss fight that works like Zelda boss or spawners that can be disabled after doing a puzzle or disabling with an item or series of tasks or items.
