[x] Proofread Title: and Description:
[x] Check that all exported functions have @return and @examples
[x] Check that Authors@R: includes a copyright holder (role 'cph')
[ ] Check licensing of included files
[x] Review https://github.com/DavisVaughan/extrachecks
[x] Update documentation (#68 )

Prepare for release:

[x] git pull
[x] urlchecker::url_check()
[x] devtools::build_readme()
[x] devtools::check(remote = TRUE, manual = TRUE)
[x] git push

Do release:

[x] usethis::use_version('major')
[x] Increment version in CITATION.cff and CITATION
[x] usethis::use_github_release()
[x] usethis::use_dev_version(push = TRUE)

devtools::check(remote = TRUE, manual = TRUE) gives me an interesting note:

Package has a FOSS license but eventually depends on the following package which may restrict use: ChemmineOB

I'm not going to deal with this now, but I'll open an issue to follow up on this.
