User needs to first create a non-spatial table containing the coordinates. Then add the coordinates within the table. You can then create a virtual layer mapping lat/long.
To add a new point, user needs to go to the Layers > Coordinates and then press Add feature. For the new feature, you can then add your precise lat long values. Once saved, the points will appear as a red dot on the map. Note that you cannot edit the values for Points layer, this is a virtual layer.
