Sundew has drivers for AM, AMIS, and WMO protocols, as well as AFTN. All of them are obsolete. Current plan is to keep Sundew around for as long as it takes to get rid of them.
AFTN is supposed to be replaced by AMHS, WMO socket protocol is deprecated (but still in use.)
AM is in heavy use within ECCC still. This is just a place holder so that if someone asks the question, the answers are available.
Yes we could implement socket protocol drivers, but we haven´t seen the need yet. Discussion here could change that conclusion.
