Master merge #231

@enicolasgomez @ddelpiano A new branch was needed, created by @jrmartin with the same contents. (The naming of the other branch in PR #226 was creating conflicts when trying to check it out using git) To fix the github actions dependency issue, the package-lock.json was added, so it's synched with the existent version of the package.json file (since it was updated)

fyi @enicolasgomez the github actions test workflow fails, because the most recent (and fixed) version of the tests is still in develop branch and not in either master or master_merge branches
