We've previously discussed encryption in this mural.

Here's a rough wireframe of the MVP option for encryption/decryption requests. These are based on some use-cases described in this original issue https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/issues/1190

A technical question that impacts UX: What happens if the user cancels this request? Should the dapp or MM provide some feedback to the user? We were leaning towards passing a message back to the dapp so they can handle the feedback in their UI assuming that there might be limited functionality. cc @danfinlay
