[Bug]: Polygon Network name matching is too strict #21609

Open jxom opened 8 months ago

jxom commented 8 months ago

Describe the bug

It seems that MetaMask does not pick up "Polygon" as a valid name for the Polygon network, and hence, displays a warning message.

See https://github.com/wagmi-dev/wagmi/issues/3171

Many other Dapps and Wallets refer to Polygon Mainnet as "Polygon", so MetaMask should still accept "Polygon" as a name for Polygon (as well as "Polygon Mainnet").
