Describe the bug Ropsten faucet is not working

  2. Click request ether
  3. see this error: {"error":"[ethjs-rpc] rpc error with payload {\"id\":9931713908278,\"jsonrpc\":\"2.0\",\"params\":[{\"to\":\"0xf5e9d550c3c50364d630edb4753be404cd109121\",\"from\":\"0x81b7e08f65bdf5648606c89998a9cc8164397647\",\"value\":\"0xde0b6b3a7640000\",\"data\":\"0x\"}],\"method\":\"eth_sendTransaction\"} [object Object]"}

Expected behavior Expect to have received some testnet eth

Browser details (please complete the following information):

Additional context We are launching an off-chain platform testnet that depends on metamask faucet for user testing. We would appreciate so much if you could help fix the faucet issue.

bdresser commented 5 years ago

@modong faucet is working fine for me, and there are lots of successful tx over the past couple days from Etherscan. You still having trouble? Can we get a screenshot?

youssefgh commented 5 years ago

Same issue here Had to switch network to Ropsten and restart browser to get it to send

jobinjohnym84 commented 5 years ago

Same issue for me now. I had faced this last week as well. Can someone fix this please? Or provide a workaround at least please?

jobinjohnym84 commented 5 years ago

This is the exact error message - someone help please---

jobinjohnym84 commented 5 years ago

Can someone respond please? Any workaround as of now?

jobinjohnym84 commented 5 years ago

I tried to reset my MetaMask account, created new account, rebooted Chrome. Still same issue.

tmashuang commented 5 years ago

Currently, Infura is working on getting Ropsten to up to date with the Contantinople fork. In the meantime, it is recommended to use a different test network. Thanks for your patience.

jobinjohnym84 commented 5 years ago

Thanks much for your response. Any ETA?

jobinjohnym84 commented 5 years ago

I see in twitter as well-

bdresser commented 5 years ago

@jobinjohnym84 no ETA yet, we'll let you know! for now, use another test network

tmashuang commented 5 years ago

Seems that the nodes have synced up when I tested it this morning.

Sureshtathari commented 5 years ago

Guys, any update on this?

spazzyt commented 5 years ago

alusiu commented 5 years ago

Same thing as the above atm.

Lachs7 commented 5 years ago

seems the problem persists. Any updates? image

truongnmt commented 5 years ago

@Lachs7 Due to a consensus issue with the Constantinople fork, Ropsten is currently not usable.

Lachs7 commented 5 years ago

Awesome, thanks for letting me know.

In the meantime you can search for other Ropsten ETH faucets. Google it.

nikmindboomer commented 3 years ago

@MrUke it work!!!! i google it and the first suggestion was de correct

https://faucet.dimensions.network/ Dimensions Cryptocurrency Faucets

THX

Titan-C commented 3 years ago

I just tried. Metamask connects to the page and I even see the transaction listed after requesting ETH. Yet the transaction is never broadcasted. Etherscan never finds it and I never receive it. Other testnet faucets I tried work fine.
