Issues stay stuck in queue on pending even after dropped #5885

Describe the bug

Been having a lot of transactions not going through the last 7 days by using the default gas settings. (pending for +24h), happened on makerdao & gitcoin. Anyways, the issue: Cancelling from the queue (or upping the gas price) did not work, this just created extra stuck transactions, so had to go through myetherwallet & cancel through new transactions with the same nonce.

All current transactions in the below screenshot are no longer pending, they are cancelled. However, the only way to remove these is by resetting the account, which makes me use my history. Not a drama, but not ideal. Screenshot below of the queue.

Prob known to you guys but didn't find any issue for it.

@krrisis what is the gas price associated with some of the stuck transactions?

To Reproduce get your transaction stuck (easy)

These reproduction steps are insufficient. If you want us to be able to tell what's actually happening for you, please submit your state logs to support@metamask.io while you have a transaction stuck, bonus if you have an inadequate cancellation also taking place.

You can post your support ticket number here for us to reference.

@danfinlay done! ticket number 13633 @danjm guess you'll be able to see this is the sent logs? I started out with the default settings (on both gitcoin and makerdao), then I tried the speed up button for some, cancel for others. All the latest transactions I manually boosted the gas price to be sure they didn't get stuck again.

hey @danjm - no it didn't, that's why I had to cancel all of them thru myetherwallet. The boosted one is the second 109 nonce you see in the screenshot. So, I guess what I need to do again now is just clearing my account again?

For issue 1: that this queue stays here although it doesn't exist anymore, is this a known issue? Hope my logging of this helped to fix it for the next update?

For issue 2: the fact that canceling issues rarely works (never for me, heard this from multiple people), is this a known issue to you guys and is there a solution in the making?

Krrisis I'm having the same issues (multuple pending orders stuck in Metamask) I've tried increasing gas, I've tried cancelling but nothing changes on these pending orders, they are just stuck. I've put in a support ticket/email but no response. I'm not a coder I just was searching the web and came across your post. How the hell do I clear out these pending orders and get my account back to normal?

How do I reset my account?

Reset account has been moved under Settings - Advanced
