MetaWatchOpenProjects / MetaWatch-Gen2

This is the repository for the embedded watch source for Bluetooth 2.1 and 4.0 for models WDS111, WDS112, and SW12. This tree is designed for TI Code Composer Studio (CCS) and IAR Embedded Workbench® for TI MSP430. This project has all the modules of the firmware including GUI, Bluetooth stack, background threads, and remote protocol handler. Different branches may be used for more divergent projects. TI's Code Composer firmware IDE is supported in this same firmware repository as the IAR version. The CCS IDE is available for FREE to all Meta Watch users that purchased a WDS11x development system or a development clip for STRATA or FRAME. Until there is a special download site, just get the 30 evaluation version and email ccs@metawatch.org when you need your license upgraded.

Difference gen1 and gen2?????????????? #42

I have been trying to find firmware 1.5.5 for the Metawatch but have not found it yet. Perhaps someone could upload the firmware since the metawatch manager app does not work on lower firmware and I'm missing the timer function 1.5.5 has. What is the difference between Gen1 and Gen2? Is it possible only Gen1 works on my watch? I was able to install Gen1 but Gen2 did not work (used d43 files and the needed software). Gen 1 = SW: 1.5.1 (962) HW: Rev E. The 1.5.5 updater program does not detect the clip (it's a Frame WDS112) tried 2 computers. Anybody who got 1.5.5 to work and how? Sometimes pages that have disappeared like the metawatch.com website can still be found with cachedpages.com (third option from the left on the site).

Gen1 is for first generation of MetaWatch watches whereas Gen2 is (surprisingly) for second generation of hardware. I have Gen2 and on the back I can read Model number and relate it with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MetaWatch#History .

Firmware updaters including 1.5.5 can still be found on David Rosales' (co founder of Meta Watch Ltd.) Dropbox:

If you want to install it for term/cmd I have a copy of the firmware I can upload but have you tried running the installer on a windows 7 system? Because when I installed the firmware he refused to install on anything but a Windows 7 system for whatever reason
