chatsounds crackle after using codecfix patch #474

I got the latest codecfix patch yesterday to be able to request yt videos with no problem, but by doing so it seems all chatsounds for me have became crackly. I verified my files and the crackles stopped but by doing so, the patch was reverted so i couldn't request or view videos. So its a dilemma for as both are major things on the server and hope it can be fixed

Sample rate mismatch (device sample rate set to higher than 44100hz) or upstream Chromium issue. Try the former first, if it still happens then it's out of our control.

" Sample rate mismatch (device sample rate set to higher than 44100hz) " what you mean by that? sorry i've not had this issue before so im quite nooby and it shouldn't be my speakers as its just the chatsounds (everything else is fine) and im unable to change the hz on my speakers (its at 48000hz)

I got a reply from winterphoenix and he said its an issue on this rather then the codecfix patch

sample rate can be changed in the properties of your active audio output, google it if you're not sure

but that doesn't make sense as without the patch it is all fine no crusty or crackly chatsounds. Just after the patch it is and just the chatsounds

It can make sense because the Chromium version Garry's Mod ships is nearly 40 versions out of date, a lot could be changed when it comes to audio libraries and playback.

so how can i fix it then? i only have one option for my speakers and thats 48000hz

You're out of luck then without picking patch or no patch. Nothing else can really be done about it and this is an issue that's been persistent for over 10 years now.
