No reply in Threads #67

When using prefixes in messages in a Thread, the bot seems not yo be able to react to them.

Threads are important to structure content in complex ttrpg games though.

I just tested this earlier today and it looks like proxying still works in threads. Is there anything specific you were attempting to do with the bot in a thread that did not work?

mutenhoshi commented 7 months ago

Funny, now it works - I swear it did not work before :)

But what now stopped working: The avatars. Even setting a new one still leaves the avatar as the discord default one. no-ava

Sorry this took a bit to get back to you on. According to the Library Devs, this is a discord bug: image This bug only appears to apply to images hosted on Discord though. So if you were to host the image on say, Imgur and link to it via the icon page on c edit, that will allow it to work until Discord gets this fixed on their end.

Thank you so much for clarification :)

Looks like the Webhook avatar bug has been resolved on Discords end and threads appear to still be working. Does that seem to be the case for you as well?

mutenhoshi commented 7 months ago

Yes, the bug seems to be resolved. We will need to switch to a different bot though, since it was not clear for us that after 3 chars a premium version is needed.

3 Characters per person, but yes. If you look at rp!features though that particular feature will only cost 3 bucks a month. And all money goes to keeping the servers running and helping ensure this bot is the best it can be so I would definitely consider trying it if you like what you have seen with the bot so far and can afford it.
