Is this a supported feature? The information I found wasn't helpful enough to get it working.

As far as I understand, they're actual push notifications, but for websites (not sure if it's OS X only, or also on iOS). I'm still going through Apple's documentation/WWDC videos on the subject, but would be nice to have something like this working, especially when the web app is not open.

The client code is implemented (needs some updating + testing though) The server-side needs to be implemented - I looked into it a while back but am short on time. The idea was to have the push package help create the manifest files etc. needed (kind of the same with chrome web push)
