As of EoD 1/9:

• Electric utilities that operate within our study area (both WI and MN) are identified.
• Aggregated activity data for MN utilities has been compiled, though with one caveat.*
• Some** WI utility has been compiled, but no aggregation or allocation (when utilities operate across counties) work has been completed yet.

: Great River Energy, an electricity generation/transmission cooperative which provides energy to 27 member cooperatives (multiple of which operate in our study area), provides a report with county-level electricity deliveries. However, some of the utilities that Great River supplies also submitted reports to the state, which complicates identifying how much, if any, of the energy might be double reported when we aggregate county data from the respective utilities. Many utilities disclose who they both sell energy to and buy energy from (incl. individual names for people/accounts with on-site generation capabilities), but this info is redacted for Great River, which prevents us from cross-referencing the numbers and being quantitatively assured that double-counting doesn't occur under a simple aggregation. A records request might* address this, but a simple query to the Dept. of Commerce or utilities themselves might represent a quicker approach.

**: I can't find data for the 4 Wisconsin electric co-ops that operate in our study area (I have found data for the 2 munis and 1 IOU). They may not be required to make regulatory reports as the munis and IOUs are. I will spend a bit more time hunting. May need to reach out to them individually to get the info we need or discuss a data interpolation strategy.
