regex lab (and tutorial?) #244

Enter a description of the feature requested, as completely as possible.
It might be useful to include a "regex lab"  (based on some online regex
tester e.g. http://www.fileformat.info/tool/regex.htm).  This could be
incorporated with an improved version of the regex tutorial
http://docs.python.org/howto/regex.html

perhaps the existing javascript based regex texter is close enough in
syntax that we could use one of them "as is" - but we could also include an
editor on the same page so that the user could confirm that the test works
correctly in Python.
