Problem with Miktex on Windows 10 freshly installed from scratch #1508

ERROR resulting from pdflatex filename

Font metrics written on ecsx0800.tfm.
Output written on ecsx0800.525gf (256 characters, 33960 bytes).
Transcript written on ecsx0800.log.
METAFONT failed for some reason

Sorry, but miktex-makepk did not succeed.

The log file hopefully contains the information to get MiKTeX going again:

I could not reproduce this with the provided test case and thus cannot work on this effectively. You want to inspect the METAFONT log file to see why the font could not be created.
