No more auto play between videos #390

Hi, whenever a video ends, the next one is not playing automatically anymore. I have tried toggling multiple switches with no luck. Fortunately, mixes' auto play is still working.

Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!

I'm on:

iOS: 17.3 AltStore: 1.7 uYou: 3.0.2

I'm using ios 14.4.1 with Taurine jailbreak, youtube 19.09.4 and uYou 3.0.3 and it doesn't seem to auto play but if you turn on the "loop video" setting it does auto replay the same video, not sure if this helps or not.

Are you sure there used to be a setting for auto play in the previous uYou versions? Does the native youtube app supports that without using uYou?

Btw, I tried to play a playlist i.e some artist top tracks with 145 videos and when the first video finished it automatically moved to the next one.

I tried the looping feature and it works as expected, replays the same video in loop.

Sure it used to work, back to uYou 3.0.1, I guess it works natively supported by the YouTube.app. The auto-play was enabled with this switch: image

The auto-play still works within playlists, but in this case you also cannot disable it. So if I want continuous playback, the workaround is to keep remembering to select a mix after starting the video to convert it to a playlist.

Have you tried to downgrade to that version and see if it works with the current youtube version that you have?

@rrieunier I can confirm I have the same issue with auto play with uYou 3.0.3

I think it's a label bug uYou. Try enabling the feature in uYou Settings -> Video Player -> No Suggested Videos at The Video End. This should actually do the opposite and enable the suggested video popup.

Restart youtube app and the auto play will start to work.

Wow nice job for spotting that @plia7 ! So it works indeed while the app is open, but while playing in the background, it simply stops when it finishes. In addition I had to untick "uYou" as well, now it works, but I don't have all the layout with the uYou settings, downloads, etc. At least background playback is still fine…

Sorry for the suggestion to downgrade, haven't had the time yet, I will follow up on this as soon as I do

It does auto play for me when playing in the background... You mean when the phone screen is locked and black?

Does not work even unlocked on another app that allows audio playback. Only switch that I found, made sure to restart YouTube every time

Works for me but I have a different setup:

I have iPhone 12 Pro Max on ios 14.4.1 with Taurine jailbreak, youtube 19.09.4 and uYou 3.0.3.

Try to downgrade uYou to 3.0.1 or to a version where auto play worked for you and see if it still works. Oh wait, have you tried 3.0.3? It says you have 3.0.2?
