direct_video + forced_scandoubler issue

I couldn't get this to work. I probed the H & V sync on my oscilloscope and the signals are intermittent and missing, i.e. no stable sync is output.

The same setup without forced_scandoubler works fine and as expected.

Use case is to play on a VGA monitor.
