Showing and starting files from images via menu not possible (as on Ultimate64) #131

It would really be nice to have one very helpful and user friendly option from Ultimate64 in the C64_MiSTer core: in the OSD the ability to directly enter an image (d64, etc.) and selecting and starting a program. This is way faster than just mounting the image, enter Load“*“,8,1 (or Load „$“,8 if there are several programs on the image to see which to load) and then starting it.

May be C64 is not for you then. It's essential to use keyboard on computer cores. There are many console cores where roms auto-started.

I only request a feature the Ultimate64 has that simplifies handling with disk images a lot. It was a great idea of Gideon to implement this feature.

I think the trick is, that the UI handles a diskimage as a directory. It reads the diskimage similar to the program Disk Imagery (https://lallafa.de/blog/c64-projects/diskimagery64/).
