I wondered if there may be a way to add the secondary SD card as an easy way to transfer files to the Minimig. If Workbench could mount the secondary SD, whdload games or files etc could just be copied over to the secondary SD from your pc and moved back to the MiSTer. That way you could store a lot of extra data too on a second drive and not fill up your main SD card.

Amiga cannot access SD card directly. It will require IDE->SD translation which is not trivial in FPGA. There is a shared folder feature implemented in Minimig exactly for purpose you described. You even don't need to take out SD card. Just access MiSTer through FTP or SCP and transfer files remotely without even restarting the core.
