hello I have a question does anyone know about famiclons if so I would like to ask if my famiclon has a regional lock because when I run the f1 sensation game in the European version from the legendary nes 509-in-1 compilation it plays too fast is there a way to bypass the regional lock

Kitrinx commented 3 weeks ago

Are you playing it with the console set to PAL?

TheBoxGame commented 3 weeks ago

the console is in ntsc the cartridge is also in ntsc but f1 sensation is in the european version and i want to remove the regional lock is there a way to make pal games automatically switch to pal and not ntsc even though the cartridge is in ntsc

I don't think I understand what you are asking. The only "console lock" on NES games was the CIC chip which isn't relevant to mister. If it's a european release, it's timings are likely made for PAL consoles, so set the console to PAL to get the correct speed. You can try Dendy mode to get the special clone vblank timings for some of the russian type bootleg games. That's all there is as far as I know.

I don't mean an emulator but a real famiclone console that I have in hd ntsc when I run a compilation that is in the NTSC region and some games from this compilation are in PAL and I wanted to ask if there is a way to bypass this protection so that games from the PAL region of this compilation automatically switch the region from NTSC to PAL

some games are in PAL like f1 sensation in the pal region and when I run this game it plays too fast and I wonder if it is possible to unlock the regional lock so that the music in this game does not play too fast but slower

That's not a regional lock. That's just the game playing at a different speed.

This is the place to report issues with the NES core for MiSTer FPGA. It doesn't sound like you are having an issue with this core. I would suggest asking these questions in a retro gaming forum or a retro gaming chat.

Kitrinx commented 3 weeks ago

Since this seems unrelated to this core, I am closing the issue.
