Time Gal & Ninja Hayate (Japan) (En,Ja) // Freezes sometimes after 2 or 3 stages #113

Open Zet-sensei opened 10 months ago

After selecting START GAME on the main menu and the first animation on the two games of the collection, we have only a black screen with some score and remaining lives informations.

Zet-sensei commented 9 months ago

Works now on core 20240210.

After successfully passed at least 3 time sequence videos on Time Gal, the game refuses to load the next one. The screen will stay only with the score overlay.

EDIT : Tested with core version 20240315 2nd revision (Single and Dual RAM).

The game even refuses sometimes to load even the first video sequence, if a previous game was played before and Time Gal is launching after a core reset. The game works once again for some time, like described earlier, if we do a full reboot of the core.

I don't know if the problem was already present before and the game wasn't tested too long or if a recent regression is possible.

Same problem on Ninja Hayate.

The game refuses sometimes to go in-game anymore if the game is not the first one launched with the core (or without a full reboot). And the gameplay will stay on a black screen with the score without loading the next sequence after some time, if you can go in-game (generally on the 2nd or 3rd gameplay sequence).

I've tested these 2 games during each version revision of the core since then.

I can go at least on the 7th stage on Ninja Hayate on core version 20240902 now.

And I will test Time Gal once more tomorrow. Updating the issue and/or clossing it if the test is successful in the same time.

Zet-sensei commented 3 months ago

I was just lucky yesterday, the issue remains on the two games after 5 times on each today. The 2 games are freezing after 1 or 2 stage(s).

Zet-sensei commented 2 months ago

Renaming the issue to the current state as of 2024.09.18.
