I just wanted to add , that this flickering does not occur for every user.

the flickering can be seen by selecting New Game and waiting for the opening cutscene to finish.
traveling around the town also causes the town to Stutter as the camera moves
getting into the building you can see in the first video I recorded, requires you to find the three treasures, pass all the cut scenes and then you can access that part of the town with the building; if you would like a save with quick access to that point i’ll try send it to you.
UPDATE: this looks to be an issue that can fix itself by selecting reset settings from within the core menu.
i will confirm when i get back from work in about 3 hours.

The flickering issue in the opening cutscene has been fixed from 17.04.24.
The flickering issue in the town I can't reproduce for now. How do I get to that location you have in the first video?
it is here over the bridge from the start of the game,
you need to play until the game opens up the other half of the town
the issue appears in any building you can go into
I tried multiple times today and I can't seem to be able to reproduce that issue.
Tests were done with a 2.9 Dual RAM system, with core version 20240520.
I can leave a save game file for the translated version (after the 3 treasures recovery) and you need to go the to museum. As you can wander around the town too.
I am also experiencing the exact same flickering in Grandia opening scene, with english patch (v 1.1.1) as a CHD file using the HiSaturn v1.02 bios on the last couple of unstable core builds I have tested, which I did not experience before with previous builds. I have also tested with the latest unstable mister main (240520), which did not fix it.
Latest stable saturn core build seems to work as intended with no glitches in the realtime rendered opening scene though.
3.0 RAM single module (seems stable at 145 MHz (60+ minutes). 5V, 4A, 20W power supply.
using Mister v240520, OS v231108, Saturn unstable 240417, 240504 and 240520 all experience flickering for me.
edit: I tried the above sugestion of reseting the settings in the core, but that did nothing for me. edit2: It is also appearing inside of buildnings.
The issue still persist, the RAM rework did not fix the issue.
since core revision Saturn_unstable_20240417, grandia displays a reproducible flicker to many different textured surfaces.
tested and confirmed on two different Single RAM MiSTer's, one with a 2.9 ram, one with a 3.0.
