Cube Battler - Story of Shou // Matches Don't Display; Breaks Character Select Screen #82

Played with the January 16th 2024 build using dual 128MB 2.9 RAM.

Matches in the obscure game Cube Battler - Story of Shou don't render correctly, so important information like your health bar and the cube pieces aren't displaying like they should. It's not a softlock, as the CPU will still have control and act like normal. But since you can't see anything, there's no way to win a match.

Another side effect of this is that when you go back to the character select screen, only the background will be displayed.

Cube Battler - Story of Anna does not have this issue strangely enough.

Fixed in the January 22th 2024 build!
