Hi mate,
What is the hardware you are running the iso on? I have had issues with the iso lacking the binary firmware drivers for some NICs. The config should include the firmware, but sometimes this misses proprietary nics. I have found issues with HP ProLiant servers for example.
Its probably not a bad idea to include the nettools if i can keep it under 100MB. Ill push the newest revision of the iso ive been working on; it adds a few new binaries. I wanted to add SSH public keysupport but i found an issue with Microsoft DHCP and ISC DHCP.... Im trying to resolve.
I suggest running the iso up in virtualbox (there is a bug where it doesnt work in VMware, just need an additional kernel param) for testing.
Thanks, MiW

Hi,
I got it built using your source, but when built, it does not have the ability to resolve DNS, nor does it have basic network commands such as ping, etc. Your pre-made iso works fine.
Building on Debian. There don't seem to be any errors during the build process. Any ideas?

I've tried on a number of dell boxes. What's weird is your prebuilt ISO from mega works fine. It's only the lb build version I'm having trouble with.

I'm thinking it could be a an issue with a newer kernel? or maybe the removed some firmware in the packages?
can you see the NIC at all? ifconfig should show if the kernel detected it. If you can send us the dmesg log i can take a look. ahh i checked ping is im going to do a build of 1.4; ill push it to git soon if you want to reclone
thanks, MiW

i am using these packages to build it, but i don't think there is anything too exotic between that and 3.0 in stable:
