Non Latin-Characters in Location prevent publishing of post #705

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

WP 4.0.1
GeoMashup 1.8.2

When using the map or the search box to provide a location for a page or post,
the following problem occurs:
When adding a location for example in China, the location is found. After
pressing publish the next page does not load, the page or post is not saved.
With names like London or Berlin, there's no problem.

I had no trouble searching for "云南府", then publishing the post. The
address, however, resolved to all latin characters for me:

Mufu, Gucheng, Lijiang, Yunnan, China, 674100
26.8696404,100.2340240.

Can you add the map provider you're using and some more specific steps to
reproduce the issue? Maybe a screenshot?

The bug seems to be with Leaflet. With Google v3 and OpenLayer there's no
problem.

Ok, I tracked it down to a limitation in reverse geocoding. The post
should save now, but may not get values for things like postal code
and locality name.
