Any chance this could get merged..? I can work around this in on my machine with Swaync, but on my Ubuntu machine, this causes notifications to be queued up, on, for example, failed build commands, and I then have to click through them all to get to actual notifications (sometimes over 20 stack up this way).

@Avi-D-coder if you rebase on master and resolve the conflicts I'll be happy to go ahead and merge this PR

@MichaelAquilina I don't use this plugin anymore. I encourage someone else to take this up.

I might look into it, though I'm not quite content with the way it was implemented, so I'll likely redo it and open a new PR.
