If the second connection the error occurred, then the first one is also equal to this error.

That always $flarum->connect_errno equal $punbb->connect_errno

Doesn't .. make sense? Either way both connections need to be correct, else it won't work

Of course, but if the connection settings for mybb will have an error, it will be written that the problem with the connection to flarum. This is confusion
