The buttons with "<" and ">" (in top left and right corner) don't respect
the native behaviour.

If I understand the button correctly, the left arrow should only be present 
inside of 
the user's home directory. If it is pushed, it should add buttons showing the 
full 
path of the current directory.
There is no right arrow in Ubuntu 10.04 that I can find.

The arrows appear on long directory names.
The screenshot relates to Fedora but I think that in Ubuntu it's the same.
